BBC Teach is home to all the BBC’s teacher-facing content. Their goal is to support teachers by providing engaging video content to be used in classrooms for a shared, teacher-mediated learning experience.

We were entrusted by BBC Teach with the exciting task of creating a captivating series of three educational films aimed at teaching primary school-aged children the art of 'writing a comic.’

Developed in collaboration with Beano, these films featured real practitioners from the world of comics, including an artist, a writer, a creative manager, and the mischievous director!

Filmed at the Beano HQ in Scotland, the films provided a delightful blend of entertainment and learning. Our presenters offered valuable tips directly to the camera from a Beano desk, they magically transported themselves into comic book settings. The live drawing segments added an interactive element, allowing the young audience to witness the creative process in action.

These fun-filled, educational films not only engaged the imagination of young viewers but also empowered them with the skills and knowledge to craft their very own comics. The partnership between BBC Teach and The Beano proved to be a dynamic collaboration that inspired the next generation of comic enthusiasts.
